Zeiss Minor Planetarium
The Zeiss Minor Planetarium of the type "ZKP-2",
The Zeiss Minor Planetarium of the type "ZKP-2", is in an extension of the observatory under an eight meter large dome.
The first Zeiss Minor Planetarium of the GDR was opened here in 1959. In 1982, it was replaced by the more modern projector "ZKP-2". It can portray the movement of the planets under the stars along with the complete northern and southern starlit sky. One can now sit in very comfortable seats as the planetarium room was re-designed in 1994.
If one so desires, you can even get married or celebrate your birthday under the starlit skies.
